Thanks for your comment, appreciate you being objective about this, and I do see where you're coming from.

Just a quick response to this - "Them volunteering at drug rehabilitation centres doesn’t do anything to remove the DP from Singapore’s Penal Code." - if we can better our drug rehab system to help people who feel compelled to go into drugs, there would be less business for the drug traffickers. With less drug traffickers (potentially even none), wouldn't it be a better argument to the government to why we don't need the death penalty anymore? Instead of just telling them to remove the DP without giving them some ideas on how they should be going about to help the victims instead?

I am definitely just writing this from the perspective of someone who really believes in trying to get drug addicts out of their habit. Would love to have a proper conversation with you about this some time if you'd be so kind to have one with me. I'm sure we can both agree on at least one thing - that we love modern family.
